One of the top places to participate in
organized paintball is in Jim Thorpe, PA. It is called Skirmish USA and has 48
different playing fields on over 700 acres. There is a major tournament complex
and a speedball arena on site. Some of the props and bunkers included in the
various different playing fields are planes, tanks, woods, creeks, villages and
castles. They have various different packages available from bachelor parties to

It is located on 40 acres and has 12 fields to choose from. You can play Speedball, Hyperball or Airball. They have an onsite Air Station to refill your tanks. The bunkers are anywhere from trees and bushes to hay bales strategically placed. www.oldriverpaintball.com Advanced Alabama Adventures (a.k.a. AAA) has been around since 1989 and is located in Birmingham, AL. It has seven different playing fields that are constantly changing in order to keep things different. The owners are obviously forward thinkers with their players in mind because they have changed some of their lesser-used fields into something that people will definitely gravitate toward. www.paintball-aaa.com/index.html They have over 113 acres and 9 fields, and Paintball USA is located in Cypress, TX. There are two Speedball fields and four wooded fields. Spools, wooden teepees and drums are some of the various different bunkers used. There are also Scenario games organized here. www.playpaint.com N5 Paintball is located in McLoud, OK. They have five fields including two Speedball fields. There is also a wooded field and a spool field. They have 7 acres of outdoor fields, filling stations and Scenario games. They have eight different fields that are maintained by their members. This is the unusual aspect about Splatmandu, they are a non-profit Paintball club with an annual membership of $2.00. There are three different playing fields, which include Hyperball, Airball and an Urban field. This field is more for the non-competitive player than anything else. Their slogan says it all, 'Check your ego at the net … ' www.herndonsbattlesupply.com/index.htm The owner is knowledgeable and very helpful, and there is a good mix of new players and experienced at Splat Paintball in Canal Fulton, OH. They have three wooded fields and three Speedball fields. The Speedball fields come highly recommended. They have two fields one of which is a Speedball field that is frequented by Tournament players and the more experienced. The other field is more of a Rec-ball field with bunkers made of various different objects including cars and spools. www.compoundpball.com/index.htm Field rating is generally personal preference, but aspects of the game that were taken into account were: (in no particular order) reffing and support staff, safety, and well maintained fields.
